To know and love ourselves deeply through life’s twists and turns is an artform and transitioning into parenthood provides the perfect canvas. When we show up for ourselves in transformational periods with curiosity, reverence and unconditional love we are more available to show up for our children in this way. It is my belief that when we surrender and trust in the transition of our growth we are more in touch with our human experience and therefore, truly living.

The Living Doula
I’m Charlotte.
I am a mother, a lover and a survivor. I am based on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula here in Victoria. I live with my partner, Jack and our two children, Rupert and Honey.
I have been called into birth and postpartum work through the embodiment of my own life. Being diagnosed with a rare blood cancer in my early twenties allowed me to reevaluate my life for the better. Through this exploration, my fears around illness were, I realised, not death, but never being able to conceive, carry and parent another human life.
My survival depended on making this a possibility for myself and so every decision thereafter was grounded in this desire to become a parent. In choosing this conscious path to birthing a family I have discovered that my reason for being on this earth is tied deeply to birth work and the transformation it inspires even prior to conception.
My belief is that, the more compassion we have for our own human experience, the more connected we are to nature, community and our truth in this present moment.
I am full of joy to be able to offer these services to you and your family.
